Soverall recently completed a sold-out run of John Proctor Is the Villain at London’s Royal Court Theatre. She admitted that she entered the audition assuming she would not get the lead role, only to discover that her instinct was completely wrong.
Fennell, who watched the production after receiving an enthusiastic recommendation from Rosamund Pike, praised Soverall’s performance as powerful and nuanced. From The Cherry Orchard to Two Secret Films
The actress is now moving rapidly between different forms of performance. After appearing in The Cherry Orchard, Soverall is rehearsing for two films at the same time.

Soverall recalled filming Every Year After in Vancouver, where some of the production’s most memorable moments took place in the water.
The filming location featured glacier-fed water, making swimming scenes particularly challenging. Soverall also revealed that she is frightened of orcas—and encountered them while filming in the sea.
A professional freediver served as the production’s water-safety specialist, helping the cast and crew navigate the demanding conditions.
Why Soverall Deleted Instagram
One of the most revealing parts of the conversation came when Soverall discussed her decision to delete Instagram after her show was released.
She explained that she knew she would be tempted to read comments about herself, even when many of them were positive. Instead, she chose to step away from the platform as a way of protecting her mental health and maintaining discipline while focusing on her work.
Fennell supported the decision, arguing that constantly knowing what strangers think about you is not a natural state of being—particularly for young women working in the public eye.
