Jackie Glass, the former Nevada judge who later became the host of the courtroom television series Swift Justice, has died at the age of 70. Glass died in Las Vegas on Friday, Aug. 28, according to reports. Her daughter, comedian Rachel Wolfson, announced the news in an emotional social media post.

Jackie Glass and the O.J. Simpson Case
Glass became nationally recognized in 2008 when she presided over O.J. Simpson’s Las Vegas criminal case.
Simpson was convicted of armed robbery and kidnapping following a confrontation at a Las Vegas hotel. Glass sentenced him to 33 years in prison, with a minimum of nine years before he could seek parole. Simpson was eventually released on parole in 2017.
The case became one of the most widely discussed chapters of Simpson’s later life, making Glass a nationally recognized figure in the legal world.

After leaving the bench, Glass moved into television.
