Eva Longoria is drawing a firm line when it comes to her 8-year-old son watching one of the television shows that made her a household name.
The actress recently revealed that her son, Santiago, has become fascinated with internet memes featuring her iconic Desperate Housewives character, Gabrielle Solis. However, despite his curiosity about the series, Longoria says she has no plans to let him watch the show anytime soon.
Eva Longoria Says “Never” to Desperate Housewives
Longoria explained that her son frequently asks when he will be allowed to watch Desperate Housewives. Her answer, she says, remains the same: “Never.”
Although Santiago has discovered clips and memes of Gabrielle Solis online, Longoria believes the original series is not appropriate viewing for him at his current age.
The actress played Gabrielle throughout the hit series, which became one of the defining roles of her career.

Interestingly, Santiago has already developed an interest in his mother’s famous character through online content.

Longoria has previously revealed that she has never actually watched the entire series herself.
Earlier in 2026, she explained that she did not watch Desperate Housewives during its original run and has not gone back to watch it recently either. She has also discussed why she believes a full reboot would be difficult, particularly because the original storylines were explored extensively.
